The Manuel Adalid Anniversario is the best lattice braced Double-Top among the Manuel Adalid guitars. The name "double-top" comes from the Spanish "tapa" which translates "cover", so in this guitar the double top refers to an additional piece of wood that is "covering" the top with a nomex layer in between to provide strength and flexibility to the top for greater volume. The extra sound port in the upper bout also allows for more air moving into and out of the guitar, also adding to the projection and volume of the guitar. As with all the Manuel Adalid guitars, truly a concert level instrument.
The Adalid Anniversario has great volume and clarity from the lattice bracing in combination with the double top. The result is a guitar with exceptional volume and life across all the strings – excellent balance.
The 640mm scale length is very comfortable to play even for smaller hands. This wonderful guitar is not only fun to play, but the sound is also focused, with a rich and expressive timbre.
