At Cálido Guitars, we’re a family of music lovers. Owner Daniel has played stringed instruments for nearly 30 years. Our Luthier Web has played guitar since he was old enough to hold one. And Joe married into the family after a decade working in radio. Music has always been at the center of our lives.

We asked each family member to share some of their favorite guitar-driven genres and tracks, then turned those lists into a series of Spotify playlists.

These playlists are our way of sharing a bit of our musical world and inviting you to connect with the Cálido Guitars family outside the showroom.

Daniel’s Spotify Playlists

Daniel Baugh Jr. is the owner and driving force behind Cálido Guitars.  Friends call him Brother Daniel, we call him Papaw.  Daniel is a lifelong musician, he has spent nearly 3 decades playing stringed instruments.  As a leader in the instrument business, he has a focus on helping players find the right guitar for their needs, interests, and budget.

Under Daniel’s leadership, Cálido Guitars has grown into a trusted source for classical, acoustic, electric, and student instruments. He is also committed to music education, church music, and community outreach, including donating guitars to schools and supporting programs that bring music to underserved youth.

Web’s Spotify Playlists

Web Baugh, luthier and sales specialist for Cálido Guitars, has been playing guitar since he was old enough to hold one. He developed a lifelong connection to guitars and to understanding how they play and sound.  His roots are in Classical Guitars, and is an avid Electric, Steel String, and Classical Guitar Player.

Today, Web uses his passion and experience to evaluate instruments, assist with setup adjustments, and help customers choose the right guitar for their needs. His practical skill and genuine love for guitar music helps shape the personal guidance Cálido Guitars is known for.

Joe’s Spotify Playlists

Joe Lippeatt manages web operations and marketing for Cálido Guitars. Before he joined the family (by marrying Daniel’s daughter Marty), he spent a decade in radio as a DJ and Music Director, gaining a deep appreciation for music, sound, and the artists who create it.

Joe now brings that experience to Cálido by overseeing the online store, digital communication, and customer-facing content. His mix of technical skill and music-driven background helps connect the Cálido Guitars family with players and music lovers everywhere.  His Spotify playlists reflects his wide-ranging love of string-driven music.
