Ibanez FRH10N-IBF Thinline Nylon Acoustic-Electric Guitar – Indigo Blue Metallic Flat
Nylon-String Warmth with the Feel of a Modern Electric Guitar
The Ibanez FRH10N-IBF Thinline Nylon Acoustic-Electric Guitar combines the warm, expressive character of nylon strings with a sleek, contemporary design that feels immediately comfortable to electric and steel-string guitar players.
Finished in striking Indigo Blue Metallic Flat, the FRH10N is designed for musicians who love nylon-string tone but prefer a thinner body, easier upper-fret access, and a more modern playing experience than a traditional classical guitar.
With its solid Sitka spruce top, sapele back and sides, comfortable nyatoh neck, walnut fingerboard, and Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup, the FRH10N is equally at home on stage, in the studio, at church, or anywhere a warm nylon-string voice can add something special to the music.
Solid Sitka Spruce Top
At the heart of the FRH10N is a solid Sitka spruce top, providing clarity, definition, and a responsive dynamic range.
Sitka spruce helps give the guitar an articulate voice that works beautifully for fingerstyle playing, melodic passages, chord accompaniment, Latin-inspired music, jazz, contemporary worship, and modern nylon-string arrangements.
The sapele back and sides complement the spruce top with warmth and a balanced midrange, creating a musical foundation that translates especially well when amplified.
Comfortable Thinline FRH Body
One of the biggest advantages of the FRH10N is its distinctive FRH thinline body.
Rather than the deeper body of a traditional classical guitar, the FRH10N sits comfortably against the player and feels familiar to guitarists accustomed to electric instruments. Its body design also provides excellent access to the upper register, making it particularly appealing for lead playing and contemporary fingerstyle techniques.
The 46mm nut width is narrower than the nut found on many traditional classical guitars. This gives the FRH10N a more familiar feel for electric and steel-string players while still providing comfortable spacing for nylon-string fingerstyle playing.
Designed with Stage Performance in Mind
The FRH10N features an innovative side sound port that directs the guitar's acoustic voice toward the player while contributing to its clean, modern appearance.
For amplified performance, Ibanez equips the guitar with a T-bar undersaddle pickup and AEQ210TF preamp. This system allows the warm character of the nylon strings to be amplified for live performances, rehearsals, worship settings, recording, and other applications.
An onboard tuner adds another practical feature for performing musicians.
