An Extraordinary Limited-Edition Guild, Handcrafted in the USA
The Guild USA Ventura Reserve VR1 F-40 Au Naturel represents the highest level of Guild acoustic guitar craftsmanship. As the inaugural model in Guild’s prestigious Ventura Reserve Series, this exceptional jumbo acoustic is meticulously handcrafted in the USA using rare, premium tonewoods that Guild aged and seasoned for decades.
And rare truly means rare—only 20 VR1 F-40 Au Naturel guitars were produced, making this an extraordinary instrument for the serious player, collector, or lifelong Guild enthusiast.
At the heart of the VR1 F-40 is an ultra-premium solid 5A Adirondack spruce top, paired with beautifully figured aged solid 5A flame maple back and sides. Combined with Guild’s legendary F-Jumbo body, these exceptional woods produce a voice that is powerful and room-filling while retaining remarkable clarity, balance, definition, and nuance.
The natural gloss nitrocellulose finish allows the spectacular grain and flame of the woods to take center stage. Elegant flame maple binding, mother-of-pearl and abalone appointments, an Indian rosewood fingerboard, and carefully selected Waverly hardware complete an instrument that looks every bit as special as it sounds.
Premium Tonewoods & Classic Guild Jumbo Power
The VR1 F-40 Au Naturel combines two outstanding acoustic guitar tonewoods.
The 5A Adirondack spruce top provides exceptional dynamic range, clarity, projection, and headroom. Whether played delicately with the fingers or driven with a flatpick, Adirondack spruce responds beautifully to changes in playing dynamics.
The aged 5A flame maple back and sides add articulation, definition, and tonal focus while providing breathtaking visual character. Combined with Guild’s large F-Jumbo body, the result is a commanding acoustic voice with impressive projection and balance.
This is a guitar capable of filling a room without sacrificing the subtle tonal detail expected from a truly premium handcrafted instrument.
Exceptional Craftsmanship & Appointments
Every detail of the VR1 F-40 reflects the special nature of Guild’s Ventura Reserve Series. The comfortable C-shaped mahogany neck incorporates a walnut center strip and is paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard beautifully accented with flame maple binding.
Premium appointments continue throughout the guitar, including an Indian rosewood headstock overlay, mother-of-pearl Guild Peak logo, G-Shield inlay, flame maple truss rod cover, Artisan Guitar Creations ThinWood rosewood pickguard, Indian rosewood bridge, Waverly snakewood bridge pins, and premium Waverly tuning machines with snakewood buttons.
A HumiCase Ventura Reserve humidified hardshell case and a hand-signed, individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity complete this exceptionally limited instrument.
