Master Luthier Yulong Guo from China is a world class Luthier known for his immaculate workmanship and amazing sound of his double top guitars. Mr. Guo has worked for many years developing the best sound in guitars and in 2018 he entered one of his handmade classical guitars in the Granada, Spain International Luthier’s contest for luthiers from around the world. Mr. Guo won 2nd place in this guitar competition with what he now calls his “Granada” model.

This all solid wood guitar with many traditional Spanish construction features has set a new standard for Mr. Guo’s guitars and added considerable to his worldwide reputation as a builder of concert quality guitars. The solid spruce top (no doubletop) guitar is completely french polished.

The first thing we noticed about the Granada is how light weight the guitar is. The full rich tone of the guitar has a balance of sound between treble and bass that is near perfection. And the fit and finish on the guitar is impeccable as with all of Mr. Guo’s instruments.

The Granada is solid Spruce top, solid Indian Rosewood back/sides, 52mm nut width, and 650mm scale length. It is wonderfully easy to play and the 5 fan bracing pattern and Spruce top yields a rich tone and amazing dynamic range with plenty of projection and sustain from the solid Indian Rosewood back/sides. The basses are highly resonant but balanced and the trebles are clear and ringing. The specially made rosette is inlaid with mother of pearl with connecting arches.
