The requinto is a six nylon string guitar which is tuned one fourth higher than the standard classical guitar. Requintos are tuned: A2-D3-G3-C4-E4-A4

The Navarro Tesoro Requinto is a six string Requinto or Alto classical guitar used primarily in Mariachi, Classical Guitar orchestras or Guitar Ensembles. This small body guitar has a 548mm scale length and 52mm nut width and is normally tuned a fifth higher than the standard Classical guitar.

The cutaway Requinto allows for easy access to the higher frets. This guitar is all solid Palo Escrito rosewood from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. The fretboard and bridge are beautiful Cocobolo.
