The Guitarras Estevé Lacote is a replica of the famous Romance era guitar maker, René Lacote. Lacote was the most famous guitar maker in France in the early to mid 1800's and his guitars were played by such famous guitar composers/performers as Fernando Sor, Ferdinando Carulli, and Dionisio Aguado. Lacote has been called by some, "The Stradivarius of guitar makers".
The Estevé Lacote replica is a Professional level instrument of all solid wood - Spruce top, Flamed Maple back/sides, ebony fretboard, and carbon fiber reinforced cedar neck. It has a 630mm scale length and 48mm nut width and 18 frets. The Lacote comes with a shellac natural finish. A custom made Estevé hardshell case that fits the guitar perfectly is included.
The Lacote has a small body that is very comfortable to play. It also has a sweet melodic sound that inspired so many of the Sor and Carulli pieces we are all know so well.
